It turned out to work out well though because both the contract I shared with my mom, and the one Danny shared with his parents were just about to run out anyway.  So now Danny and I are both on our own family plan!  Yay for our little family

And…

We got iPhones with our new contracts!  I got a white one and Danny got a black one.

It took me a while to be ok with it. I’m NOT an apple product fan, and I was concerned with the large size of the iPhone, and not sure how I felt about being hooked up to the internet all the time.  It is still a little weird, but I am slowly getting used to it. 

We wanted to get cases with the phones, and we ended up each getting a “myFrogz” case.  You buy a code at the AT&T store, go online and choose the colors you want for your phone.  There are tons of colors to choose from, and you pick a top and a bottom color.  Fun!

Here is the case I made:

The top is actually a frosted, semi clear white.  The bottom is a teal color.  They have a really great texture on them.  I would highly recommend checking out iFrogz cases, or the myFrogz customizable case. 

I can’t wait to see what colors Danny chooses.  He is at volleyball practice right now (his coaching season started today!) so he will probably make his when he gets home.  I will post the picture of his.

It takes three days to ship…I can’t wait!!!

Sorry I have dropped off the face of the planet.  I disappeared for a while because I got a teaching job!  I am teaching high school chemistry now.  It has been really fun, but a ton of work.  Now that I am getting into the swing of things and getting a routine down I should be able to post more often.  I am hoping to take some pictures of the classroom this week so hopefully I will get to post those soon!  I get my very own classroom!   I made my own free, class website which is pretty fun.  You can go check it out if you are bored! www.mrsfarmerschemistryclass.com  It will make teaching next year even easier because I will already have an outline of all the homework, PowerPoints, handouts, etc!  Too bad it isn’t already next year lol.

It was quite the ordeal to get it changed though.  Because I have a custom domain name (www.dannyandstephanie.com) I had to figure out how to have it transfered from google’s hosting site, to BlueHost’s site so it would work with the WordPress ProPhoto theme. After several days and many emails, I finally figured it out!

About Us
Danny and Stephanie live in Pleasanton, CA with their two “unique” cats, Harley and Zoe. Stephanie is currently trying not to kill/maim/destroy her brand new garden, while Danny is currently trying to hurry up and finish the brick wall for the garden before it starts to down pour every day…it may be too late for the wall, considering the fact that it is raining right now…

About Danny
Danny graduated from the University of Oregon in 2008, with a BA in History. He is currently going through the process to become a substitute teacher…which takes forever! He will be entering a teaching credential program in the summer of 2009, to become a high school history teacher.

About Stephanie
Stephanie graduated from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR in 2007 with a BA in Chemistry. She then received her Masters in Chemistry from the University of Oregon. She is currently attending The Professional Culinary Institute in Campbell, CA to further her love and understanding of food and feeding people. She will be entering the same teaching credential program as Danny, in the summer of 2009. She hopes to eventually become a high school chemistry and general science teacher.

How We Met
Danny and Stephanie met in September 2007 in Eugene, OR. Danny was starting his senior year at the University of Oregon, and Stephanie was just starting graduate school at the University of Oregon. Stephanie took some summer courses with Morgan, a friend of Danny’s. Morgan decided that Stephanie needed some friends in Eugene so she might as well just adopt his friends! So one day, Stephanie invited Morgan over to a Sunday dinner she was making and told him to bring some of his friends. Morgan invited Ryan, Julie…and Danny. Little did Stephanie or Danny know that Morgan and Julie had secretly decided that Danny and Stephanie would be perfect for each other. Danny coming over to dinner was a secret set up!

With the grace and sleekness of a pigeon in an avalanche Morgan set about placing Stephanie and Danny in alone time situations. Subtlety is not one of Morgan’s strong suits, by the way.

Danny first realized that he liked Stephanie when they went to see their very first, very romantic movie together…”Shoot ‘em Up.” Stephanie laughed during the ridiculous movie and Danny loved that a girl could laugh at such a stereotypical guy movie. Stephanie realized that she first liked Danny when she had more fun sitting on the couch playing Yahoo’s “Text Twist” game with him, than she did hanging out with everyone else at the party.

Over the next couple weeks, Danny and Stephanie started hanging out more and more, including conversations going on well into six in the morning…or just a couple of minutes in “Stephanie Time.” It was after one of these conversation during the movie “Mission Impossible” that the two found themselves in front of the “guy’s house” at two in the morning. It was the end of the night but neither wanted to leave each other’s presence. Danny felt an urge to kiss the beautiful girl before him but was unsure about what would happen…he was worried about leaving later with a red cheek from a well placed slap! After an eternity of gazing into the beautiful girl’s eyes he went in for the kill. He smooched her…and she kissed him back!!! It was this gleeful moment the adventure began.
